Requirements:
Track client demographics and data using existing software while adding one server to be used for other general use. Certain employees need to generate reports monthly, quarterly and annually.
Solution:
Implemented a MySQL database on a Linux server meeting customer hardware requirements. Developed a data entry form accessible from all workstations using Internet Explorer. Setup report building scripts to access stored data accesible by authorized users only.

Requirements:
Upgrade all workstations computer to comply with new Microsoft support standards. Utilize as much existing software as possible to reduce cost. Global or national name brand vendors should not be used.
Solution:
Located local supplier and secured purchase of 12 workstations matching specifications required for client use. Setup 12 workstations during client's non-business hours. Researched special software pricing offered to client's business type. Cost of purchase, delivery and setup was $485 less than the best price for a national vendor.

Requirements:
Find solution to software error preventing access to Adobe PDF documents. Microsoft and Adobe were contacted but were unable to solve the issue. Solution must be found without visiting customer location.
Solution:
Gathered required information during first conversation with client. Researched issue and sent update files via email to client. Performed suggessted changes and issue was resolved by second contact.

Requirements:
Need access to sensitive data on a server while not at main office. Ten simultaneous connections may be required. Must implement solution for less than $500.
Solution:
Implemented VPN router and installed free security client on workstations requiring access. For added security, implemented user authentication when initializing remote connection.

Requirements:
Do to new audit requirements all data must be maintained for 3 years. Data is located on a server and a few workstation computers.
Solution:
Setup server based data backup with selective workstation backup using existing network. Instructed client on schedule for changing backup media. Created log for tracking tapes when they are sent off site for added protection.
